Meriç Algün will make a reading from her recent text-based work The Stepmother Violet which forms the core of her exhibition at Lunds konsthall. Rooted in personal experience, her fragmented narrative unfolds through poignant reflections that bear historical, linguistic, political associations in relation to the role of the stepmother amongst other things.
Parts of her text are published in the exhibition catalogue.
The reading and the curator guided tour of the exhibition will be held in English.

Meriç Algün kommer att läsa ur sitt nya litterära verk The Stepmother Violet som utgör stommen i hennes utställning på Lunds konsthall. Baserad på personlig erfarenhet vecklar hennes fragmenterade berättelse ut sig genom gripande reflektioner som bär historiska, språkliga och politiska associationer, bland annat i förhållande till styvmorsrollen.
Delar av hennes text är publicerad i utställningskatalogen.
Uppläsningen och kuratorsvisningen av utställningen kommer att hållas på engelska.
