I en tid av återigen ökande polarisering, tilltagande rasism, antisemitism och islamofobi är det viktigt att medmänskliga krafter går samman och skapar hopp och visar på sammanhållning. IM anordnar därför traditionsenligt Lund Lyser tillsammans med Lunds Kommun och Svenska Kyrkan. Vi samlas vid Lilla Fiskaregatan utanför Grand Hotel och står med facklor längst hela gågatan. Vi går sedan i fackeltåg under ledning av säckpipespel till domkyrkan där domkyrkokaplan Lena Sjöstrand och IMs generalsekreterare Martin Nihlgård håller tal. Vi uppmuntrar och välkomnar alla, oavsett religiös, etnisk och sexuell tillhörighet, att delta i denna manifestation i medmänsklighetens tecken.
